While the man was still talking, Holden frowned and glanced at this unfamiliar man. He pushed the man’s hand away, asking with a furrowed brow, “Who are you?”
Adrian, caught off guard, paused and looked at Holden. Then, he smiled and said, “Look at you, joking around now.”
Holden examined Adrian from head to toe and replied, “I am Holden. But I don’t recognize you.”
“What?” Adrian, still in disbelief, pointed to himself and said, “I’m your good friend, Adrian! We’ve known each other for over ten years.”
As Adrian spoke, a thought occurred to him. He removed his sunglasses and confidently said, “How about now? Do you recognize me?”
He then opened his arms, intending to embrace Holden. Holden took a step back, and his bodyguard immediately intervened to stop Adrian.
Holden looked at Adrian blankly and stated, “I don’t know you.”
